Hey there Ozarks!

If you have questions about plumbing, then this blog is for you!  We will be delivering some fantastic tips every week and throwing up the internet's best plumbing failures in the form of pictures and videos just for your entertainment!

When plumbing comes to mind, do you just think about the maze of pumps and pipes that keep your sinks and toilets flowing?  If that is the case, you are most likely not going to take a stab at fixing your own plumbing problems.  Plumbing is not really a difficult task.  With a little education under your belt, you will be fit to maintain your system in no time.  Read on to find out how!

Expensive chemicals that you buy at the store to flush out the gunk that has built up in your drains should not be your "go to" solution.  Most of these products contain chemicals that are very corrosive and cause long term damage to your pipes.  In fact, they may do more damage than good.

No matter how well they foam, foam doesn't move a mass of hair that is clumped and tangled around a screw or caught up on something else.  Any good hardware store can sell you a drain zipper tool that allows you to quickly pull out clumps of yuck, saving yourself the money and hassle of having to call a plumber.  Oftentimes, these are the problems we deal with...problems that could have been dealt with by the home owner and a $5 tool from Ace.

Don't get us wrong, we love to take your calls, but we also know how valuable your money is to you.  A little bit of planning and arming yourself with the proper tools, and little problems like this will help you with regular maintenance on your plumbing system.
